1st and 3rd Best Student Paper Awards at PIERS 2019

Two of IHF's research assistants have presented their work at PIERS 2019 (PhotonIcs and Electromagnetics Research Symposium) and have been awarded with the 1st and 3rd Best Student Paper Awards in the category 'Antennas and Microwave Technologies' for their papers 'Full-space Coverage Leaky-wave Antenna Based on Successive Space Harmonics', by Amar Al-Bassam, and 'A Reduced Sampling Scheme for Planar Near-field Measurements Using Pointwise Probe Correction in the Spherical Harmonics Basis', by Cosme Culotta-López, respectively. Their other contributions ('Analytical Formulas for Frequency-unbalanced Periodic Leaky-wave Antennas', Amar Al-Bassam and 'On the Influence of Probe Positioning Errors due to Mechanical Uncertainties in Spherical Near-field Measurements at Terahertz Frequencies in Modern Positioner Systems', Cosme Culotta-López) were positively received and discussed.
