Satellite Paylod GeReLEO-SMART at Thermal-Vacuum-Test
GeReLEO-SMART flight hardware during installation in the thermal vacuum chamber
The cylindrical container shown in the picture will be evacuated after a series of pre-tests and a several temperature profiles will be run on the flight hardware. The equipment has to perform without degradation in both extreme hot and cold environments. After some intial tests, 8 thermal cycles are run. During the whole time, the communication with the equipment to simulate the satellite itself has to work perfectly. Afterwards a series of post-tests are scheduled to make a pre-post-comparison possible. The Team wishes the litte box good luck in the lonely vacuum.
