Doctoral examination passed with distinction!
Amar Al-Bassam received his PhD in the field of antenna design and successfully passed his doctoral examination on 08/30/2023. In his dissertation "Planar Periodic Leaky-Wave Antennas for Radar Applications", he investigated the broadside problem and developed a solution approach based on the symmetry constraints of unit cells. This solution approach was validated using measurements at 78 GHz, and several polarization-diverse and frequency-sweeping concepts were presented.
Amar Al-Bassam passed his PhD exam with distinction.
